Downtown Holiday Lighting Ceremony ~ Fort Collins

It’s time once again to “flip the switch” at the annual Downtown Holiday Lighting Ceremony! On Friday, November 2nd, thousands of strands of brilliant white lights will illuminate the alleyways, sidewalks and tree-tops of historic Old Town Fort Collins. The dazzling display of low energy and sustainable LED lights stretches through seven blocks and will remain lit for the holiday season through Valentine’s Day.

The Downtown Holiday Lighting Ceremony will be held in Oak Street Plaza located on the corner of College Ave. and Oak St. beginning at 5:30 p.m. Before the official unveiling of the lights, families and community members are invited to gather in Oak Street Plaza. At 6:30 p.m, staff members of the Downtown Business Association, Downtown Development Authority and City of Fort Collins Parks and Recreation department will invite the community to join in the dramatic countdown to the illumination!

Winter Wonderlights ~ Loveland

Winter Wonderlights will take place from Nov. 16, 2018 through Jan. 1, 2019 at the Chapungu Sculpture Park at Centerra, just east of the Promenade Shops retail center at U.S. Highway 34 and Interstate 25. Special programming, the largest inflatable igloo in Colorado and local vendors will be onsite during Friday and Saturday nights from Nov. 16 through Dec. 15.

The magical light show will run each night Nov. 16 – Jan. 1, every 30 minutes from 5:00 – 9:00 PM except on performance nights. Performance nights are Fridays and Saturdays Nov. 16 to Dec. 15. On those nights, the light show will run at 5:00, 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 and 8:30 PM.

Each night, enjoy holiday string lights, twinkling bulbs, LED mappable snowflakes, illuminated African stone sculptures and 30-minute music and light shows every night. The light and music show features six total songs and moving lights on the 20 foot tall LED mappable Christmas Tree.

The event is free and open to the public. Canned food donations are suggested to benefit the Larimer County Food Bank.

Join the Greeley Chamber of Commerce/Visit Greeley for our community’s official holiday kick-off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 24.

The parade route on 9th Avenue, traveling north from 15th Street to Lincoln Park, will be lined with families in the holiday spirit.

Following the parade, attend the lighting ceremony in Lincoln Park, presented by the Downtown Development Authority and the City of Greeley. Stay at Lincoln Park for the lighting ceremony, tasty holiday goodies, and visits with Santa! Some entries include horses, bands, dance teams, and classic cars. The evening offers many fun-filled events, as well as lasting memories.

Join us for the 20th Annual "Turkey Ball" Mush Ball Coed Tournament. Special rules of Turkey Ball include running the bases opposite the normal direction. Awards will be given for top three places. Door prizes and other special prizes along with some food will also be part of the fun. Teams consist of 9-12 players and are guaranteed three games. Teams can sign up for the Rec Division (competitive) or the Leisure Division. Turkey Ball will be played rain, snow, or shine. Cost is $150 per team. Register ends October 29th. Catch the Glow Christmas Parade & Celebration ~ Estes Park

Estes Park celebrates the beginning of the holiday season as whimsical characters and festive carolers entertain throughout the downtown area during the day from 11am-4pm. Get ready for the evening parade with family hayrides, strolling animal characters, and pics with Santa from 11am-2pm at Town Hall!

At 5:30 pm, floats from the Catch the Glow Parade will feature thousands of tiny twinkling lights, storybook figures, angels, snowmen, marching bands, entertainers, wildlife characters and of course, Santa ends the parade!

The Estes Park Trolley will be making the rounds starting at the Estes Park Visitor Center to stops along Elkhorn Avenue (Bond Park, The Ore Cart Rock Shop, West Park Center, The Grubsteak Restaurant, The Trading Post, and Barlow Plaza) from 12-8pm. This loop takes about 25 minutes.
